Merry and Bright - December InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's December Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons." As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with projects that are inspired by beautiful paper and beautiful ribbons - how clever! We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Hey everyone!

It's the last InKing Royalty Blog Hop of 2018, and this month I have 3 projects to share with you (whhaaaat? I know, right?)

My projects this month are inspired by some wrapping paper I found. When I saw it in the store, I was quick to snap it up- I loved the non-traditional, bright colors. My Christmas tree is decorated in purple and silver (not counting all the family ornaments) so I knew this paper would look fantastic on the presents under the tree.

Isn't that so wonderfully bright? Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, and Granny Apple Green, what a great combo :)

Project 1: A Merry and Bright card
I used the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards as a base, and added a strip of 2" x 4.5 " Gorgeous Grape CS. I cut the trees from the Brights DSP pack, using Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green. I pulled the tree punch out of the Retired Vault of Amazing Awesomeness, but if you don't have it you can make triangles the same size from paper 1.5" x 2".
The sentiment is from Making Christmas Bright, stamped in Whisper White Craft ink on Melon Mambo CS.

Project 2: An Oversized Tag
I used a 2" x 6" piece of Granny Apple Green DSP as the base of the tag. I punched the tree shape out of a 3" x 4" piece of Gorgeous Grape CS, and stamped the snowflake pattern in Whisper White Craft. The snowflakes came from the Candy Cane Season stamp set.

Project 3: Initial Tag
I love a good monogram or an initial on all sorts of things, so I thought I would give it a try on a Christmas gift tag. For this tag I used a strip of 1.5" x 4.5" Gorgeous Grape CS, and topped it with a piece of the DSP measuring 2"x3". I used my favorite Large Letter Dies to cut out the "N" and attached it with foam adhesive strips. I finished off both tags with Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped ribbon. I love how a tag can be so simple to make, and yet bring such a personal touch to a gift:)
