Welcome to InKing Royalty's October Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "Monster Mash." As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with fun projects that are inspired by the spookiest night of the year - Halloween. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Here comes Halloween!
I don't send a lot of Halloween cards, but they sure are fun to make! During a recent #royalchallenge in the InKing Royalty Facebook group, I made quite a few. I got in a groove and made several different cards, mostly using the Cauldron Bubble bundle. One of my favorites, however, was a card I made using the cat punch and some inks (with an assist from the September Paper Pumpkin) I liked it enough I wanted to make another version. Today's card:
Still Night: At first I didn't think I would use this set very much, so I wasn't going to get it. But then I saw all the beautiful samples, and I decided it was more of a must have. I can't wait to make some lovely Christmas Cards with it. In the meantime, it's perfect for Halloween!
Blending the Sky: I used four inks to blend the sky: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Berry Burst and Blackberry Bliss. I used a circle about 2.5 inches to make the moon, and blended the other inks out around it. Then I used Crushed Curry to color in the moon.
Bats, just because: it's Halloween. Bats are a requirement for a spooky card :)
