Harvest of Thanks InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's September Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "September Morn," a Neil Diamond classic from the late '70's. As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with projects that are inspired by the beauty of Autumn - September is when the air becomes crisp and the leaves start to fall. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Hello everyone!
It's time for another InKing Royalty Blog Hop! I always look forward to the Royals' hops; I love being a part of such a creative community! I always feel so inspired after I see all their projects:)

I've been itching to use my Falling For Leaves stamp set and Detailed Leaves thinlits dies since they arrived in my Holiday preorder. With my new work schedule and my daughter heading back to school (and dance classes, etc ) I just haven't been able to really play with all my goodies like I would like to. I was so ready to break this set out, and I'm so glad I did!
Today's card:

Rich Fall Colors: I love using deep purples, oranges, and yellows for fall. Today I used Pumpkin Pie and Blackberry Bliss.

All the Copper: I added shine and bling with copper foil sheets and the copper glimmer sheets from the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper stack. The copper accents are a perfect compliment to Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie. I used the new sprig punch for the copper foil leaves.

Brusho at Last!: I purchased the Brusho crystal colours months ago, but to be honest, I was a little too intimidated to actually use them. I finally jumped in and tried them...and I am in love! It made the watercolor background SO easy! I just used my Stampin' Spritzer to spray some water on my watercolor paper, and sprinkled some yellow Brusho on. I swirled it around with a brush a little, then added a little more water and a slight sprinkle of the Gamboge brusho. I zapped it with the heat tool to set it quickly.

A Favorite Secret Weapon: There's a little "sand spatter" stamp in the Magical Mermaid set that I like to use to add a little more texture to my backgrounds. I used it with Pumpkin Pie ink on my Brusho background to give it a little more depth.

Isn't the font on this set just beautiful? I'm so glad I finally got to use this set, it's going to be my go-to for fall!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Linda Krueger at The Stamp Coach. There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

Have a magical day!
Nina
